55 @ $55
Those 12x12 inch originals on 1/2 inch canvas I used to crank out… Miss em? Me too!!!
So I first thought I would do 55 of them. 55 on 1/2 inch canvas in all the themes I love painting. But… what if I did 55 of each theme I do?! 55 fan/pop pieces, 55 wildlife pieces, 55 palm/floral pieces and of course 55 nude pieces!!!
Can I do it on top of all the other larger pieces I plan on making? Well let’s figure it out together!!!

What up Art Peeps!
If you follow me on social media (@jpdicarloart) you may have noticed me posting a lot of progress pics from how my art has improved over time and kind of wanted to touch on why I’m doing that.
First and foremost… growth. It’s important for artist to compare our current works with those of the past to see the leaps and bounds we can make by just creating on a regular basis. When I first started really putting my work out there I was doing what so many of us do by gaging my skill by looking at other artists.
Dumbass move right?!
Letting that mindset go was incredibly hard at first until I really started to have a body of work to really look back on. Then I realized as i was growing as an artist I was really starting to discover my own style… my own voice.
Now when I have work hanging anywhere or I’m live painting at an event people can spot my work from across the room and know it’s me without seeing my signature on the work!
So I guess what I’m getting at is let your Art scream off the wall and let people know it’s you, not some other artist or style you may be chasing.
Stay awesome!

What up art peeps!
So yeah, I’ve decided to do a blog. I know what you’re thinking. “JP you’re super quiet and socially awkward how the hell are you going to do a blog?”. Like this duh.
Just kidding. The goal of me starting this blog is to help me get over this socially awkward hump I have and get use to talking about my art (which I’m terrible at).
I’ll be dropping all kinds of info in here from my thought process, products I use, the ever dreaded marketing topic and whatever my come up during this crazy art journey I’m on.
So stay tuned fellow artists and art lovers!! It’s about to get super awkward up in here
